IDO Annual Update 2021 – City Council Hearing #1

City Council will review the 2021 IDO Annual Update at its hearing on Monday, May 2, 2022 at 5 p.m.

Proposed Floor Amendments
City Councilors have proposed several floor amendments to be considered by the full City Council. 

Any floor amendments that are adopted by the City Council would change the Redline Draft that includes conditions of approval recommended by the Environmental Planning Commission in December 2021 and may change the amendments passed by the Land Use, Planning, and Zoning (LUPZ) committee on March 30th and April 13th. Speed Enforcement Warnings Begin April 25th

Starting Monday, April 25, warnings will be issued for vehicles speeding through automated speed enforcement areas. If you receive a warning, no action is required.  Starting Wednesday, May 25, vehicles speeding through automated enforcement areas will receive a $100 ticket citation. Golf Course and Westside Intersection Open

CONSTRUCTION CONTINUING ON RAW WATER TRANSMISSION PIPELINE IN WESTSIDE BLVD: Crews to Reopen Golf Course at Westside One Week Ahead of Schedule on Monday Morning, April 25, 2022

Portion of Water Authority project on Westside Blvd. to be completed in summer of 2022; other Water Authority construction will continue through end of 2022
            (NOTE: All work is weather permitting and subject to change without notice.)

On Monday, April 25, 2022, crews will reopen Golf Course Rd at Westside Blvd. The intersection was originally scheduled to be closed for two weeks, but crews were able to complete crossing it with a 20-inch pipeline earlier than expected. We appreciate everyone’s patience during the closure of this intersection.

  • Westbound traffic on Westside Blvd is reduced to one lane between NM 528 and Golf Course Rd.
  • Eastbound traffic on Westside Blvd is reduced to one lane between Golf Course Rd and NM 528.
  • Eastbound traffic on Westside Blvd. has only one dedicated left-turn lane and one combination thru lane/right-turn lane at NM 528
  • Traffic on 7 Bar Loop Rd and on La Sierrita Rd is able to turn right and head eastbound on Westside Blvd, but is NOT able to turn left and head westbound on Westside Blvd. Motorists can access westbound Westside Blvd by taking 7 Bar Loop Rd south to Driftwood Ave, heading west on Driftwood Ave, then north on Golf Course Rd. Westbound motorists on Westside Blvd can access La Sierrita Rd or 7 Bar Loop Rd via Golf Course Rd south to Driftwood Ave, then east on Driftwood Ave to 7 Bar Loop Rd.

City Hosting Public Meeting on West Mesa Trail Master Plan

The City of Albuquerque is hosting a public meeting on the West Mesa Trail Master Plan on Tuesday, April 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Open Space Visitors Center, 6500 Coors NW.
