ONE ALBUQUERQUE August Newsletter

Hello Albuquerque,

Summer is winding down and we’re already in the swing of the school year! We hope everyone enjoyed the fun summer our city put on. I also encourage you to look into City programs that we offer all year-round, whether it’s before and after school programs or new volunteer opportunities, there are so many ways to get involved for folks of all ages. This is always an exciting time of year, but it’s also been difficult for our community in a lot of ways and we want to make sure people across our city feel safe in schools, in parks, and in places of prayer. We’re working everyday to do our part in building a safer city. Sometimes that requires hard decisions, like closing Coronado Park to address critical public safety concerns. We don’t have all the answers, but we do know that our city deserves better than the status quo and we’ll keep taking action needed to keep people safe.

Join us at our Virtual Town Hall on Friday to ask questions and hear from the leaders working to make our city the best it can be. We hope to hear from you and get your input as we continue working towards a safe, inclusive Albuquerque.

Sincerely,

Mayor Tim Keller
