E-Waste Collection Event at Tingley Beach Saturday, April 26th

The ABQ BioPark is teaming up with ACTenviro and New Mexico Computer Recyclers to host an e-waste recycling event at Tingley Beach on Saturday, April 26 from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon. You can just drive through and drop off old and used electronics. You can bring old cell phones, cables, keyboards, and almost anything with a plug to the north parking lot of ABQ BioPark Tingley Beach. While many items will be accepted, please note that TVs, microwaves, vacuums, refrigerators and freezers cannot be accepted. Tire Amnesty Event Hosted By Bernalillo County

Got used tires? Dispose of them for free during Bernalillo County Tire Amnesty Days. Bring them over to the Pajarito Community Center on Sunday, January 26 and safely dispose of your unwanted tires while helping keep our community clean and green. It’s free, eco-friendly, and you can join your neighbors in making a positive impact. There is a maximum of nine passenger car/truck tires per vehicle. No tires will be received from businesses. City of Albuquerque Offers Christmas Tree Recycling

The Solid Waste Management Department, Parks and Recreation, and PNM will recycle real Christmas Trees for FREE at three separate locations in Albuquerque beginning December 27, 2021. No artificial trees will be accepted. PNM Vegetation Management crews and Parks and Recreation staff will grind trees into mulch chips, which can then be used as mulch to provide a better growing environment for plants and residential landscapes. Residents can pick up the mulch free of charge while supplies last.

Trees may be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 through Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the following locations:

•Montessa Park Convenience Center, 3512 Los Picaros SE, 873-6607

•Eagle Rock Convenience Center, 6301 Eagle Rock NE, 857-8318

•Ladera Golf Course, 3401 Ladera Dr NW, 836-4449

Please remove all bags, tree stands, decorations and lights from trees before dropping them off to be mulched. Limit 5 trees per resident, no commercial customers.

Solid Waste Mgmt Dept and PNM will also be collecting donations for Animal Welfare at the Eagle Rock Convenience Center. Please consider bringing non-food donations for animals in need in our community. A special donation trailer will be parked at the Eagle Rock Convenience Center location during the entire Treecycling Event.
