ABCWUA Reminds Residents To Conserve Water During The Holidays

Image

This holiday season, the Albuquerque Bernalillo County Water Utility Authority (ABCWUA) reminds residents how they can do their part to conserve water. Here are a few things you and your family can do to make every drop count.

  • Be sure to only run dishwashers when they’re full, and scrape plates rather than rinsing
  • Consider gifting efficient showerheads, rain barrels, or other conservation-minded gifts
  • Time your showers with holiday-themed music. Choose a few of your favorites and create a five-minute playlist, so you can get in the holiday spirit, while saving water.
  • When preparing to cook, thaw meat in the fridge, rather than using running water.
