Fixit Clinic Will Teach You To Fix your Household Items

Fixit Clinic
Saturday, February 24, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Quelab Makerspace, 680 Haines Ave NW

The Solid Waste Management Department and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful will partner with Quelab Makerspace and Fuse Makerspace to host this year’s Fixit Clinic on Saturday, February 24, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon, at the Quelab Makerspace, 680 Haines Ave NW.

Bring your broken household items and learn from our experienced coaches how they can be repaired. This is a free, all-ages event where people can learn how to assess, disassemble, and hopefully repair broken household items instead of sending them to the landfill. The acceptable items include bikes, small appliances, electronics, and sewing projects.

There is also need for skilled individuals who are handy and experienced in sewing, woodwork, leatherwork, electronics, small appliances, and jewelry, so please register if you have any of these skills. For more information, call 311 or visit: www.cabq.gov/fixitclinic

We’ll also take time to explore both traditional and new housing opportunities for Albuquerque residents, such as casitas (accessory dwelling units), which are now allowed in all residential areas, as well as new proposals for meeting housing and economic development needs in the City.
