Bernalillo County “Take A Ride on Us” Offers Uber Discount Code for the Holidays

The Bernalillo County Department of Behavioral Health Services, Cumulus Media, the New Mexico Department of Transportation, and Whitener Law Firm, announce details for a safe ride option for holiday party weekend celebrations. The Take a Ride on Us campaign is offering 1,000 rides, Friday through Sunday, beginning on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at noon through Sunday, Dec. 18, at midnight. Participants can redeem the Uber code PARTY22 to get the discount. Each code is good for 2 rides per person, $10 off per ride. The credit can only be used for rides and not Uber Eats, and the discount doesn’t cover tip.

Speed Enforcement Warnings Begin April 25th

Starting Monday, April 25, warnings will be issued for vehicles speeding through automated speed enforcement areas. If you receive a warning, no action is required.  Starting Wednesday, May 25, vehicles speeding through automated enforcement areas will receive a $100 ticket citation. Virtual Panel Discussion on Domestic Violence Sheds Light on Important Public Health Topic

In support of October being National Domestic Violence Awareness month, the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line is hosting an online panel conversation on October 9th that will focus on understanding and addressing domestic and intimate partner violence (DV/IPV) and addiction. Topics will include the signs, symptoms, and definitions of each, and training will be offered on how to recognize the signs and symptoms of DV/IPV, how to understand the dynamics of DV/IPV and the role of addiction, and find resources for those who need help.
